44. "咎由自取" 
A. Did you hear? Wayne came in late again yesterday, so he got fired.
B. That doesn't surprise me at all. He had it coming. He's been late every day for over two weeks.

Note. 
have/get it coming (to oneself) 意為 "應該的, 自找的; 自討苦吃", 常用過去式. 此用法大多帶有負面的意思, 但有時有可用在正面的含意, 例如 Tom finally got a pay raise, and he had it coming. 同意句有:
He deserved it / He got his just deserts (只用在負面) / He got his comeuppance (只用在負面)


45. "你不如就承認吧" 
A. I read one of my younger sister's e-mail messages, and she called me noisy.
B. If the shoe fits, wear it.


46. "我們全都傻眼了" 
A. Did you see the motorcyclist jump his bike over 15 cars?
B. Yes! We were all flabbergasted that he was able to do it.

Note. 類似說法: We were all dumbfounded. 

47. "那是我的罩門" 
A. I heard you spent lots of money buying new clothes.
B. Yeah, that's my Achilles' heel. I really like to buy the latest fashions.

Note. 類似說法: That's my vulnerable point. 

48. "全力以赴" 
A. I will have to convince the client that we offer the best computer service.
B. You do whatever it takes! The company is depending on you.


49. "別讓他想怎樣就怎樣" 
A. David always insists we do what he wants to do on weekends.
B. Don't let him get his way all the time. You should stick up for yourself.


50. "錢不是我在管" 
A. You really need a faster computer in your office.
B. I want one, but I don't control the purse strings at the company.
