Note. 當某人拿到一手爛牌卻假裝牌很好, 若你識破對方伎倆, 就可以說 I call your bluff. 此引申為某人 "虛張聲勢, 唬人之嫌". 

149. "他急流勇退" 

A. The fighter retired from boxing once he won the championship title.
B. He quit while he was ahead. That was a smart move to make.

150. "機會渺茫" 

A. Will you be able to make it to Bob's barbecue this weekend?
B. Chances are slim because I think I'll have to go to in to work.

Note. 也可說成 Chances are slim to none. slim 原意為 "苗條, 纖細", 在此表示 "可能性微乎其微".
